Post-Workout Protein Ice Cream

This is a post workout treat because it involves fruit. If I’m trying to lose weight, the only time I eat fruit is close to my workout. For the low carb option, this could be a treat for any time of day (just be sure to check that the sugar content of your yogurt is low - not more than 4grams for the amount you’ll be eating).

Ingredients:

1 Soft Ripe Banana

1 Scoop Protein Powder

Or Lower Carb Option:

½ Cup Plain Greek Yogurt

1 Scoop Protein Powder

Instructions:

Mash the banana into a freezer safe container. Mix in the protein powder until it looks smooth and creamy. Freeze for 3-5 hours (depending on how solid you want it). Use a popsicle-making container and chocolate protein powder to get a fudge popsicle treat. If you want extra soft ice cream, cut and freeze the bananas first then put the frozen bananas in a blender with the protein powder and enjoy right away!

For the low carb option, simply mix the two ingredients together and freeze for 1-2 hours.
