Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bark
After my workouts I add one scoop of protein powder to water or unsweetened almond milk so that I get the most out of my workout. Some of my clients tell me that they don't like drinking a protein shake like this so here's a protein powder recipe instead!
I wouldn't recommend more than one tablespoon of peanut butter per serving, so adjust your recipe ratios accordingly (you can eat a whole scoop's worth of protein powder, only a tablespoon or less of peanut butter). This is great for your post-workout snack...or anytime you were going to reach for that chocolate - reach for this instead!
1 Scoop Protein Powder (Chocolate)
1-2 TBLP Cocoa Powder
Unsweetened Almond Milk
2-4 TBLP Natural Peanut Butter (or other nut butter)
Mix together Protein Powder, Cocoa. Stir in Almond Milk until the mixture resembles melted chocolate. Poor over a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Mixture should sit about a quarter inch thick on the sheet. Freeze for 10minutes. Remove from freezer, spread on peanut butter. Freeze for 10minutes. Mix another batch of chocolate mixture to make it a sandwich or leave it open-faced. Freeze, and enjoy any time!
